This is landscaping with Zebra scapes. We're here to

Unknown:

discuss what's it like to be at a resort and bring it home when

Unknown:

you go to resort, and you sit there and relax and you're just

Unknown:

enjoying the atmosphere. And the question comes, how can you

Unknown:

relax so much away and you can at home, and you sit there in

Unknown:

your chair and you just look at the things around you, and what

Unknown:

is pulling the energy and the weight away from you, and what's

Unknown:

causing just to sit back and enjoy the moment. And we were

Unknown:

just in Sedona with my wife, Denise, and we're just sitting

Unknown:

there, and I was like, it's so relaxing. Amazing place. They

Unknown:

had a pergola up above, and vines growing on it. And I just

Unknown:

looked at it all and thought, this is so relaxing. And a lot,

Unknown:

you know, the green, the vines growing, growing down, and then

Unknown:

you got that. They had a waterfall, the noise and how

Unknown:

they had it all put together. It was amazing. It gave me great

Unknown:

ideas on what you can do in such a small, tight area. And it's

Unknown:

all about designing. It's all about bringing, putting it on

Unknown:

paper, getting into design virtual tour, to just bringing

Unknown:

it to life before you do it, that you can really break it

Unknown:

down. And that is so critical when it comes to landscaping.

Unknown:

And to you, when you really want a nice oasis in a backyard, if

Unknown:

you got tight spaces, it ain't possible. There's a great chance

Unknown:

it is that's, you know, let's break down how you can break up

Unknown:

your areas in elevation, and break up your areas and, you

Unknown:

know, in rooms like just look at your backyard. How can you

Unknown:

create rooms and break it up like you would a house, even

Unknown:

though it's small, but it's still nice to break it up, to

Unknown:

give it that warmth, feeling that really relaxing. And one

Unknown:

thing I noticed the vines a pergola, just breaking the shade

Unknown:

is adds tremendous amount just the fact that you have something

Unknown:

over top you that blocks the sun, and it's not you don't want

Unknown:

a real tall pergola, you know, people like, oh, I want to, you

Unknown:

know, nine foot tall pergola, eight foot tall pergola,

Unknown:

honestly, a seven foot tall nice and close with vines growing on

Unknown:

them adds so much value and comfort and in closeness around

Unknown:

you. And it's exciting to be able to to just sit in your

Unknown:

chair and relax. And one thing I've noticed that there brings

Unknown:

so much relaxing is the fact of the water, just a little bit of

Unknown:

water running, you know, fall, even a fountain of some sort,

Unknown:

the noise in the back, and then you add plants beside it, just

Unknown:

the when the wind blows, and that gives that relaxing sound.

Unknown:

It's so critical to have the water feature, the plants close

Unknown:

to the water feature to give it that warm feeling. And also

Unknown:

turf, I mean, you add turf by water, you know, is very

Unknown:

relaxing, and it just eases everything over, all those

Unknown:

things as huge value, and you compact them in a tight area, we

Unknown:

you got to think outside the box when it comes to small yards,

Unknown:

and comes to thinking about a great resorts. And I challenge

Unknown:

you to take pictures and send them to us on what you like, and

Unknown:

what is it possible to put in your backyard? And also, you

Unknown:

know, fire, I think fire and water, bringing them close

Unknown:

together, it adds another whole dimension. So when it comes to

Unknown:

your oasis in the back, hanging chairs, swings, those are great

Unknown:

things to add to it. It's also very important when you're

Unknown:

laying you laying out is just putting on paper and a structure

Unknown:

of how you want to categorize the areas of your place. You

Unknown:

want a hard, hard area, you know, where you got a fire pit,

Unknown:

pavers and stuff, you know, picking table, where you're

Unknown:

having a lot of foot traffic, and then compared to another

Unknown:

area where you break it up to a pergola, swings turf, an area

Unknown:

that's very relaxing. And honestly, those should be in two

Unknown:

different areas. One that's high traffic. You know, a lot of

Unknown:

drains come in and, you know, cooking and stuff. You got a

Unknown:

barbecue area. Those areas, the hard surface pavers, patios are

Unknown:

on a patio. You have flagstone those areas are very are great

Unknown:

and a must have in your backyard, but we want to break

Unknown:

those up into two different areas, from the high traffic

Unknown:

barbecue area, where you still can hang out, but it's always

Unknown:

very critical, I believe, to have an area to just release

Unknown:

stress and to sit and relax with your favorite Drink and just

Unknown:

soak in and to see the vegetation and the breeze and

Unknown:

just come to a whole demeanor of bringing your stress level down

Unknown:

and just enjoying the evening after a hard weekend or a hard

Unknown:

day at work, and when you're planting your backyard, you

Unknown:

strongly encourage you to think about what you're planning for.

Unknown:

Or are you planning for a big old party a bunch of guy, which

Unknown:

is great? Are you planning for you and your your spouse is to

Unknown:

sit there and relax and enjoy the evening? Both of those are

Unknown:

very important, and to me, I would have both. You can easily

Unknown:

have both. Even if you got a small yard, it don't take a lot

Unknown:

of room. There's one little corner of an area of your

Unknown:

property in your back patio area to put a small pergola, two

Unknown:

chairs and some, you know, just some bamboo or some crab apple

Unknown:

tree, to bring some shade in, something just small, just to

Unknown:

get to relaxing. It. All it takes is enough space, 100

Unknown:

square feet, to be able to sit there and to relax. And if you

Unknown:

have the real estate to do something grand, that's all the

Unknown:

better. It's not just the better because you've got the bigger

Unknown:

property, but the fact is that you can spread it out and really

Unknown:

think, and have a huge variety, from pergolas to water features

Unknown:

to fountains to artificial turf, all those things can add huge

Unknown:

value. And if you got enough real estate, go with a dig in, a

Unknown:

dig down and put a fireplace down like just a couple feet or

Unknown:

18 inches in the ground. Make a little step in area where you

Unknown:

step down in that adds so much, it breaks down the sound. If you

Unknown:

have neighbors, and you're in an area where the neighbors can't

Unknown:

see you so you can really relax around the fireplace or what's

Unknown:

happening. Don't look at your backyard and be like, blah, I

Unknown:

have nothing I can't do, nothing. I wish I had with the

Unknown:

Joneses have I wish I had more ground. I wish I had more real

Unknown:

estate. There's nothing I can do. Trust me, there is so much

Unknown:

we can do in your backyard, in the and turn into amazing oasis.

Unknown:

Think outside the box, get a 3d design, and let us explore what

Unknown:

you have. And with technology and everything out there, it is

Unknown:

amazing. What we can put on paper, put in a video, where you

Unknown:

can see what you're getting, and to me, what's out there is far

Unknown:

beyond you can imagine, and what you can dream, we can bring into

Unknown:

reality. So we strongly encourage you to dream big, even

Unknown:

if you have a small yard and get excited about what you have.

Unknown:

Arizona is an amazing state to live in, beautiful skies,

Unknown:

amazing temperature. Let's add value. Add value to your real

Unknown:

estate and add value to your life and your life in the

Unknown:

evenings. I mean, it is so important to put a place in your

Unknown:

backyard where you can go and just relax. And trust me, it's

Unknown:

worth every penny of it. Thanks for listening.
