This is Rodney with Landscaping with ZebraScapes. Here at this podcast, I want to just invite you to listen in. And I believe we can bring a lot to your dream, to you to dream and to understand what's about landscaping. So many people say landscaping the landscaper. They just kind of like shrug their shoulders off. Landscaping is way more than that, your yard is an opportunity to turn into an oasis, opportunity to grow, not only just to grow, to look nice, to impress your neighbors, if that's your choice, but to build a relationship, to build a community in your backyard. We can invite people over and you sit outside, you know, in the house, and just sitting there is it's just different being outside, and that's why I'm so excited to just to work with God's creation and to be out in the environment, to turn bare dirt into a beautiful patio, fire pit or whatever, just a place to hang out. It is just I enjoy it so much. And what brings excitement is watching a customer that didn't have a backyard, and then you turn in side of a hill into several different areas, from a fire pit to a picnic table area to a pool area. All those steps just add so much value to their yard. And it's very important for us to just interact of exactly how they they are, and it's exciting for us to just bring their dreams to life, and I'm just grateful for that to do that here at Zebra scapes. And one thing here at this company, you know, we work very diligently on who we hire as a staff.
Rodney Steidinger:We have an HR, we have general managers, and our core values is quality, integrity, efficiency, teamwork and relationships, and they're graded on those we always have meetings to improve on them that we can deliver the utmost best to our customers and our clients. It is very important that they get what they're wanting, and if it's the best, the lowest price, this probably ain't it. It because we can't deliver with all these aspects, and to come through when we have everything we're standing for, you know, we want you to feel very valued. We want the customers to feel that they're getting they're being heard, and what they're saying is coming tuition, if it's possible. And to make sure that we're on the same page, you know, change orders the last minute change orders are, those are just, is tough. I hate them. I want to all up front, and we always talk about it ahead of time before we start a project. Like we need to talk about this. But if they understand our heart and our motive and we can understand theirs, we can come a long ways and just exploring building a legacy is very important for Denise and I and our family our four girls, is extremely critical of just building our integrity and what we stand for in our community, and that is very important to us. You know, we are in the light parade in the New Year's Eve, we do so much downtown in their town, and we're so grateful to have this opportunity here, and our vision here at Zebra saves continue to build that to be a huge aspect in our company, to be a lightning example that we're given so much, and where much is given, much is required, that we can give joyfully back. And yes, we do fail, and yes, we got to learn, and we grow continuingly as we take this journey. But our long goal is just to continue to grow, to be have this the best place to work for, and the most desirable place is to come and to be a part of a family. I'm so thankful that I have incredible we have amazing General Manager and operational manager. They understand our vision.
Rodney Steidinger:They understand where we're going. We're always thriving to be better, and we're thriving to be to take to understand clients better, how they like to communicate. Some people like to communicate through text, phones, emails, you know, always in person, if all possible. That's our goal. Is to just to build that relationship. We don't want to to just knock off and be like, hey, it's over with. The job is done. You know, if you need something later on, we can stop in. You know, there's always things. And here at Zebra skates, we take every aspect, from irrigation to fertilization to pools, to barbecues, fire pits, all across how we can deliver of what your needs are. Our long term goal is to make this an employee owned business, where employees are bought in to our vision, and where they look at every aspect that we stand for, so they can put fires out quicker, and they can really understand that the importance that we have of little incidents gets taken care of quickly. You know, so many times when there's a little problem, we ignore it, we'll take care of it later. And trust me, it happens, but we thrive to fix that problem quickly. That's we. We always take the the little jobs that are the little imperfections. Because we put them on the back burner, but we've set processes up to get those taken care of quickly as possible. And we work very diligently on communication as that you feel that you're being heard on what we're what you're delivering, you know, from the color of the plants to the color of the pavers to the pergola, if we can't get it, you know, if we can't do it, we can recommend to the people and explore. You know, we're not just a like one stop shop. We can handle it all.
Rodney Steidinger:But yeah, we we sub out or have a great relationship with our metal fabrication. When we build some big steel pergolas, you know, even our pool guy that comes in a great relationship with them. How we work with other companies, even though the landscapers, when you got a project that's really big, we bring them in and work together as part of building a business is growing around and not solely. That's one thing so much I've learned from clients, is learning that as they grew their business, or they wherever they were in success is how I could grow, how this company grows, and I listen to them of our imperfections and how we can sharpen ourselves. And that's where we are today. We got here from other people's, from our own failures, for sure, but also other people's where they have failed. And there's a lot of honest customers that say, Rodney, this is where you can improve on and I appreciate it, because we need to grow, we need to improve. And it's great that we can have that opportunity to grow and listen, and it's there's times we failed miserably, but every, every time you fail, it's a stepping stone for improvement. And I always say there's a stepping stone. In the next couple months will be a harder step to take, but you got to take those small steps as you grow and as we learn in life from all kinds. I mean, there's customers. Give me advice on raising our girls. Give me advice on how to, you know, take their journey and the regrets they made, and that's one thing that I'm thankful for, of everything they brought to us. I'm just excited to be here where we've done in 18 years and how far we come. I believe I can add lots of value to your property and what your dreams are, and that we can work together what's coming in the future.
Rodney Steidinger:You know, even down the road a couple years, I'm very confident that we can bring something to what your desirings are and your plans as we go through this journey that we're taking this podcast thing on this, this ain't all about here, higher zebra scapes. We want to give you all the information out there. You know, we'll have a this podcast site you can click on from fire wise to fertilization and learn, do I know it all? No, I can bring in a we are bringing experts in that have tons of experience in the utmost experience, the highest level of fire wise and other fertilization trees, chemicals that we use. So many people have questions about those, and that's what this podcast here is delivering. We're delivering a message that we can present to you, that you can find you know so many times people call in for advice, and it's a quick answer, it's a 32nd answer, but you have so much you want to know more, and that's why this podcast is here is that we launched this podcast for you to learn everything you need to learn without making a phone call and getting you know. Do they really know what they're talking about? We don't know everything, but we're bringing in experts in this podcast. We have experts that we're bringing that can talk and communicate very clearly that everything is being covered. We have Justin at Yavapai College, you know, years of experience in horticulture, our chemists down in Phoenix, that's going to be talking about chemical, you know, dogs and understanding the chemical part that people have so many questions, how harmful is it? What can it happen?
Rodney Steidinger:You know, we give the answer as a, you know, as a messenger, because I'm not a chemist, but I got connections, and we work very close with one to understand what is safe for pets, what is safe for humans, how long do you gotta be off the chemical and where that is. So that's what we bring. Is bringing the experts at 18 years what I have learned, and not only what I have learned, what customers have taught me to learn, what customers have taught me that I could learn so much and to share that knowledge, and not only me sharing it, but what you know and how you can share it in the comments that we can put on this podcast, to share with others. This is about building a community, building a legacy relationships on how we can grow, grow, to strengthen each other, and the knowledge of landscaping and all around us, and also just in the relationships of of life, how much I can learn, so much with employees and customers and raising a family. This is a family owned business. We work very close together, and I couldn't be more Thank. Full and grateful for to work with a family there's that is probably the most valuable thing outside of Jesus. So just want to thank you for listening, and we have this is going to be a great episode, bringing in tons of knowledge and experience, and I'm excited to share that with you.
